Simplified procedure when changing ECM’s name or address

A change of name or address of the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) will not require a procedure similar to the issuance of a new certificate of conformity for the ECM or a certificate of conformity for the maintenance function. The provisions of the Code of Administrative Procedure will apply in such a case. This does not apply to a change in the legal form of the ECM.

Until now, a change in the name or address of the ECM has necessitated a substantive assessment procedure for the application. However, Article 155 of the Code of Administrative Procedure allows the case to proceed from an application for a change of decision, examining only the change itself in the name and/or address of the entity indicated on the certificate. An application submitted under Article 155 of the Code of Administrative Procedure will allow for a swift change of data in the documents already issued.
