18.01.2021

From January 15, 2021, new rules for reporting to the mandatory quarantine are in force. When you are travelling to Poland by collective transport from abroad, also by rail, you are required to report this fact by phone to the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate in order to undergo mandatory quarantine. Carriers who run international trains crossing Polish border are obliged to inform passengers about this obligation.

Passengers coming to Poland by collective transport from abroad, also by rail, are still required to undergo a 10-day quarantine. However, the rules for submitting information to the Chief Sanitary Inspector have changed.

According to the new rules, from January 15, 2021, travellers after crossing Polish border by rail are required to report this fact themselves the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate by calling the official 24/7 hotline:

After informing the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, the travellers are officially under a mandatory quarantine.

Passenger operators which run cross-border trains are required to inform passengers about the new rules for submitting information on crossing Polish border to the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.

The President of the Office of Rail Transport recommended that the carriers should provide the information on new epidemic rules via websites as well as voice and visual messages on board of international trains. This information should be prepared if possible in at least 2 languages (in Polish and in English, German or Czech).
