IRG-Rail Plenary Assembly held in Gdańsk

This year’s first Plenary Assembly of Independent Regulators’ Group – Rail was held in Gdańsk in Poland on the 27th and 28th of April. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Great Britain. Mr Radosław Pacewicz, General Director of UTK, chaired the meeting.

The regulatory body from Portugal – AMT (Autoridade da Mobilidade e dos Transportes) was welcomed as the 27th member of IRG-Rail

Topics discussed during the meeting covered the most important issues and regulatory challenges connected with ongoing creation of the single European railway market. The goal of IRG-Rail is to strengthen cooperation among rail regulatory bodies and to provide them with an independent forum for the exchange of information and experience. The agenda of the meeting also included a visit in the European Solidarity Centre.
